Meet Brewnette, an Undead Mistweaver/Windwalker Monk that I have brought into patch 5.4 as my main for the new PvP season (and all future ones!). This little slice of heaven came about towards the end of 5.3 when I decided to finally jump into Arena as Mistweaver with the worst gear imaginable and see what happened.
I almost instantly fell in love with this class! It was nothing like I had played before, and if you didn’t know I have a whole ton of alts. After hitting 1750 in 2′s in greens and Dreadful agility gear I knew I found what I’ve wanted to play for so long. Was I good at it, or is this class just crazily OP? I don’t know, nor care as this is the class I’ve had the most fun with by far.
Jumping, rolling, spinning and smashing faces all while under the influence of Alco…’Brew’ make this even more amazing to me. Why don’t I see more people playing them? I don’t know, but if you don’t currently play one – you’re missing out super mega big time. Everything they do they (or the player) do it well, so thank you Blizzard for this wonderful class.
So what next? Well, deciding which spec I’m going to gear first is the big thing for me at the moment, with the new season just around the corner I’m trying to weigh up what I want to do more in Arena to start with. Healing is enjoyable, but making people cry from the pain of a Rising Sun Kick is even more enjoyable, so Windwalker is looking like a good option for me so far.
In the future I’d love to try Brewmaster as from what I’ve seen they’re incredible at their role as a Tank, and debuffs aside I’d like to see how they go in RBGs as whether they fail or not, I’m sure trying is going to be a lot of fun. If anyone has tried this I’d be interested in how it went, or any tips you can share would be much appreciated!
So I’ll leave you with this…a promise for not just this week, but this season and beyond – to bring the usual big-headed-rage-monster attitude into Arena with my Monk, and destroy anything and everything I can as well as I can, and the start of this season I will start to record video footage of Monks at play for everyone to enjoy (or hate).
To all my fellow Monk friends out there, happy appreciation week.
